Alex Gache was raised in a musical household. His mother had been an opera singer, both his grandmothers were classical pianists and his grandfather, a composer of contemporary classics. The variety of music styles that spilled out of his father’s stereo system was uncountable.
At his early age, (rock)and roll exploded onto his world. For his 11th birthday, his parents got him an inexpensive “fun to play” Spanish guitar, he started working on Beatles and Rolling Stones songs. He took his guitar everywhere knowing that the best way to learn and gain experience would be to play and exchange notes with everyone.
By the age of 14 Alex bought his first imitation Fender Telecaster guitar and a Univox bass amp with two knobs (volume&tone) that was given to him by a neighbour.
When he reached the age of 16, Alex began playing gigs all over Baltimore with his first band, JAACK.
The gigs increased and not only was he playing pubs but also small concert halls and universities across Maryland, Washington DC, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Since then Alex has played in several bands around the world (USA, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Ivory Coast) not only as a singer/songwriter and guitar player but also as a session musician for live acts, bands, studios and television programs.
Due to his father’s job, as a child and teenager, Alex grew up in different parts of the world. He’s an English, Spanish and French native speaker.
Besides playing, Alex teaches music at ROCK YOUR GUITAR school giving guitar/bass lessons. He also gives conversation lessons in Spanish and French for beginners and advanced students.
